Preparation before and during the course:
- Hybrid Course is comprised of 13 online modules designed to replace the interactive discussion component of the traditional ATLS course so that learners may complete it at their own pace. Learners are expected to complete these modules over a six week period (each module is expected to take approximately one hour to complete) and they must be completed one day prior to your course date.
- Please bring your Identification for checking in and the screening process for Covid-19 assessment.
- Vaccination verification completion or a valid appropriate negative Covid-19 swab result will be required.
- There is parking available for a fee if you need.
- Please limit the number of personal items that you bring with you. Please bring your stethoscope.
- You will be provided with a mask and gloves throughout the day. We ask that you wear this protective equipment during all the teaching sessions. New gloves will be provided during each station, isogel will be readily available and masks will be provided as needed. Extra cleaning of equipment will also be expected.
- Eating/drinking will be assigned during certain times during the course. Catering will be provided as individual servings.
- The course timeline is tight to allow us to complete this in one day, please plan to take quick breaks. We utilize the lunch time with course discussion. Please don’t plan to leave the course during this time. You must attend all of the course agenda topics.
- An electronic copy of the manual is provided with the access to the website/module work. If you require a paper copy of the manual, please contact the coordinator for more information.
